Academic Performance - CBSE
“Education opens up the mind, expands it and allows you to improve your life in so many ways”.
The COVID-19 pandemic had brought the world to a standstill. Countries across the globe are fighting the virus but there is hope that we all shall overcome this scenario strongly. Although this crisis has deeply affected our lives and livelihoods, each and every person is trying to go ahead with her or his duty. Schools, colleges, and universities across the world are also under the impact of the 'lockdown'. In the meantime, we must take the initiative to capture the dreams and aspirations, the fears and the anticipations around COVID -19.
Today, in spite of these obstacles, our students fought tooth and nail and attended online sessions for a whole year with blended learning and collaboration, they were all eager to enhance these challenging situations. Thanks to technology, as we moved into Microsoft Teams for our online sessions and we had the support of parents and students, where we all came out as a winner. With success comes the attitude towards winning and the spirit of achievement. “If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude” Excellence can be achieved in various fields depending on the child’s capacities and capabilities.
Our Own English High School, Al Ain has always served as a platform for students and staff to discover and exhibit their hidden skills and talents. Our CBSE Students have continuously performed exceptionally well and it is my pleasure to share the results of the year.
We at ‘Our Own’ constantly concoct a healthy blend of academics and extra-curricular activities. Students are encouraged to put their best foot forward in the variety of inter-house and interschool competitions offered. These competitions open up avenues for dedication, commitment, hard work, perseverance and passion – all prerequisites for character building.
